Connecting Spirit's Beginnning

Connecting Spirit (CSS) was founded in 2007 by Ann Bastille, M.A., LCMHC, a licensed clinical mental health counselor in Southern New Hampshire. Her vision is to provide a forum that will keep holistic and spiritual information at the forefront for helping professionals as well as an interested general public. Originally called to create small group interaction with significant thinkers and spiritual mentors, Ann is experimenting by providing brief “Mentor Studio” platforms as part of more traditional workshops at this time. Ann Bastille writes:

“We are speaking with very inspiring mentors in the field – currently those in the field of holistic healthcare. We are honored to bring this information and inspiration to nurses and other care providers. I believe nurses and holistic providers are poised to experience a wave of change in medicine and related health care – changes based on uncovering the indivisibility of spirit, mind and body. Research is accumulating that bears out the experience of medical practitioners who have come to see that “as the mind goes, so goes the body.” Spiritual connectedness becomes an extremely powerful tool to alleviate mental and emotional (and often physical) suffering. The holistic or “new paradigm” providers have been using this knowledge for decades in their healing practices. We are upon a new wave of understanding that will unite what we call “main stream” practices with holistic approaches because once closely examined, holistic practices prove to be efficacious. One venue where seminars take place is a local college whose nursing program offers a course in holistic nursing, a forerunner on this wave. This is an exciting time to be in health care and we have much to continue to learn from medical, psychological and spiritual mentors who “put it all together” holistically in these seminars."

Presentation Formats and Goals

Mentor Studio™ Format will:

Spotlight well known authors, speakers and trainers in the spiritual, healing or holistic fields
Encourage mentors to share their current focus and interests in their field, and to describe where they want to see the field heading in the future
Provide an open, interactive but organized sharing with audience members
Allow the audience to “listen in” on questions and interaction between a moderator and this significant thinker in the field.
Highlight the presenter’s internal processes along their individual path, offering a deeper understanding of how they arrived where they are today, spiritually and professionally.
Be recorded whenever possible for purchase and posterity.
Offer a gathering place for like-minded spirits to connect

Emerging Speaker Format will:

Offer Emerging authors, speakers and trainers a forum to introduce their (vetted) material
Ensure a significant benefit for the audience by providing state of the art information in the spiritual, healing or holistic field
Spotlight dynamic speakers who provide cutting edge insights
Provide presenters an opportunity to begin spreading the word about new perspectives and helpful strategies.
Create a sense of community among those in attendance in various ways, one of which will be setting up a networking table for you to display your own - and collect others’ - business cards
Ignite immeasurable momentum, via CSS Co-creation platform, for talented emerging authors and speakers*
